Alexandra Dos Santos is an educator, writer, and former book publicist at Penguin Random House. She was born and raised in New York, currently residing in Astoria, Queens.

 

She received her MFA at The Writer's Foundry in Brooklyn, and writes primarily fiction, creative nonfiction, and screenplays. Her writing is concerned with the intersection of spirituality and horror: how the genre allows us to explore our depths and examine the inherently weird human experience.

 

Her work has appeared in Electric Literature, Lithub, Vol. 1 Brooklyn, The Latino Book Review, and Maudlin House. She was a finalist in 13Horror.com's screenplay contest for her feature length script, Babysitting the Demon. 

 

In her free time she performs horror inspired dance routines in clubs around New York City​.
